Marc Nair

Lead Writer, Narrator

Marc Nair is a poet and photographer. He was a recipient of the National Arts Council 2016 Young Artist Award. He has performed spoken word for twenty years and has represented Singapore in international poetry slam competitions. Marc has published six solo volumes of poetry and has released another four books in collaboration with visual artists, photographers and graphic artists. His latest collection of poetry is The Earth In Our Bones (2023, Landmark Books). Marc is the co-founder of Mackerel, an online culture magazine. His third full-length spoken word album, Sounds Like A Buzz, was launched in 2022. He is a founding member of PR&TA, an online journal of creative practice.

Nicole Soh

Design & Marketing

Nicole Soh is a reader, business process manager, aspiring AI whisperer, and designer. When she's not figuring out how to deliver online groceries more efficiently, she does print and layout design for publications ranging from yearbooks and chapbooks to posters. She has worked with Marc Nair on publication design and layout for works such as Sounds Like A Buzz and Handbook of Daily Movement. When inspired, she creates foldable 8-page doodle zines on random topics such as Sleep and Watermelons. Nicole holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Sustainable Design from Singapore University of Design and Technology, and a Master of Science in Information Studies from Nanyang Technological University.

Carolyn Oei

Producer

Carolyn Oei is a writer, editor, arts manager and independent scholar. Her practice and research focus heavily on participatory culture as it manifests in participatory democracy, social justice work, education, community art and participatory art. She is the co-founder of Mackerel, an independent art journal dedicated to culture, literature and social commentary. Carolyn has worked on numerous arts events including Kiap Kiap Revolution, Neon Lights and Musicity Singapore. Carolyn holds a Master of Education (English) from Nanyang Technological University.

Eugene Soh

Audio Engineer, Editor

Eugene Soh is a guitarist, singer, composer, producer and sound/mix engineer based in

Singapore. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) with First Class Honours in Electronic Music from LASALLE College of the Arts and is the founder of music production house Saturn Sound Studio. Founded in 2019, it is a cutting edge studio focused on the arts, providing

music production, original composition, recording, mixing and mastering for a range of clients including Marian Carmel, Krysta Joy, Marc Nair, mrbrown, The Theatre Practice, The Second Breakfast Company and many more. As a musician, Eugene’s musical strengths span a wide array of genres including pop, folk, rock and electronic music. He is most well known for his work in indie-rock band Bakers In Space, in which he is the lead singer and guitarist for. He is also known for his solo work under the moniker, PandaMachine.
